The 26 Hurricane is a rod designed with a stiff solid tip—distinct from flexible solid tips—joined to a strong tubular blank. This combination allows you to feel your rig underwater and perform delicate, precise maneuvers.

By incorporating AGS and CWS, and combining SVF Compile-X with Toreca® M46X, this rod transmits every subtle change felt at the tip directly to your hand without dampening. Compared to the previous model, it delivers significantly sharper casting, improved sensitivity, and enhanced overall handling.

Unlike the 21 Hurricane, the tip of this rod features a medium-stiff solid with a “he”-shaped taper at the very end. This design not only allows you to detect subtle changes on the bottom, small bumps, and even the weight of the line—things that high-stiffness solid or tubular tips might miss—but also dramatically enhances both touch sensitivity and overall handling.

On hard bottoms, the rod excels at transmitting subtle vibrations to your hand. It also makes it easier to feel changes in line tension and the slack or pull on your line while manipulating your rig, enhancing your overall sense of load.

With a tubular tip, you can’t achieve the same control when keeping your rig resting against cover or structure. The solid tip with its “he”-shaped taper makes this possible, providing just the right amount of drag—neither too tight nor too loose—while you work your lure.
